Race 12: Louisiana Derby (G2)

#2 Instant Coffee has been solid in back to back stakes races, while he seems to be the class of the field today. His best effort should get the job done. #6 Kingsbarns moves up the class ranks today after back to back impressive wins against lessor company. He could be loose on the lead in this spot.

Race 13: Maiden Special Weight

#4 City of Love debuts in this spot for solid connections after showing some decent works in the mornings leading up the event. #3 Steauxlit improved in his second start last time out, running second at Delta Downs. If he improves again he should be tough to beat in this spot.

Race 14: Allowance Optional Claiming

#9 G’Wildcat has hit the board in four straight races at this class level and distance at Fair Grounds. Today we should see more of the same from him. #7 Trambourine Star is a horse that can win at a solid price today if he can workout a decent trip.

Race 15: Maiden Special Weight

#7 Lightening Mo was a solid second on debut last time out and should improve off of that effort heading into today’s contest. #3 Pursuit L’Harmonie gets back to the dirt today after running a close second over the turf last time out. We’ll see if she can move back to the dirt successfully.
