Rocket Picks 🚀: Gulfstream Park and Oaklawn Park for January 7, 2021

We are set and ready for a big Friday of racing! For the free pick 4, we were going to head to Aqueduct today, but snow has cancelled their card, so we will head to Gulfstream Park for the free late pick 4 ticket! We will also be covering Oaklawn Park for the paid Rockets, so be sure to check those out. Let’s see if we can get this home today

Gulfstream January 7, 2022

Race 7: Maiden Special Weight

#9 Sheza Savage will move over to the synthetic surface for this race, while also taking a large drop in class for a solid trainer. #2 Shes Classy has solid experience over this track, finishing second in two straight starts at this level.

Race 8: Claiming

#9 Join the Dots was a solid winner on debut last time out at Belmont Park. This is the logical next step for her. #8 Midnight Ballerina runs second off of the layoff today, which should lead to an improved effort.

Race 9: Allowance

#5 Collaborate will look to finally live up to the hype this year after failing to do so last season. Saffie has always been very high on him. #6 Mutasaabeq is back off of a long layoff after today, which is exciting. The last time we saw him he was winning the Mucho Macho Man Stakes over this track.

Race 10: Maiden Claiming

#2 Golden Indy was fifth on debut last time out, but ran well, and can win today with improvement. #1 Eagle Chief runs first off of the claim for Maker in this spot, which always has a nice change to lead to improvement.
