Rocket Picks 🚀: Del Mar, Gulfstream Park, and Saratoga for August 7, 2022

Race 7: Saratoga Oaks (G3)

#2 McKulick goes for two in a row today after an ultra-impressive victory last time out in the Belmont Oaks. This horse could be living up to the hype she received last year in a major way. #3 With the Moonlight should improve in this spot, with it being her second race in the United States. Look for her to get a better trip today as well.

Race 8: Allowance

#5 Colorful Mischief has hit the board in all three of her starts, including a solid third place effort against similar horses last time out at Churchill Downs. #8 Portilla was a neck away from victory last time out, which was her first race off of the layoff. Look for her to improve in this spot today.

Race 9: Fasig-Tipton De La Rose Stakes

#1 Love and Thunder is a consistent runner that should show up with a big chance once again today. The Brown/Ortiz Jr. combination is solid once again this year at Saratoga. #5 Jouster picked up a victory in a similar race to this one last time out at Belmont Park. She can do it again today with the same effort.

Race 10: Claiming

#5 Maseta drops down in class for this race after a poor effort last time out against much tougher runners. #10 Merci will also drop down in class after struggling in his last two starts against allowance runners at Belmont Park and Keeneland.
