#3 Microphone cuts back slightly in distance for this race, which should help his chances. His best race came at one mile, so this 7 furlong distance should be good for him. #5 Pirate Life was a winner in his turf debut by a neck in his last race. However, he must move up in class and stretch out in distance for this race, which is a question mark.

Race 7: Allowance Optional Claiming

#5 Shalimar Gardens will drop back down to the allowance ranks today, while also moving back to New York breds. Her best race is a bit better than anyone else in this field. #4 Ok Honey has hit the board in three straight races, all of which have come against similar company to what she will face today.

Race 8: Allowance Optional Claiming

#4 Flop Shot goes for two straight wins today after a solid allowance win at Aqueduct last time out. He usually shows up with a solid effort in these types of races. #6 Ever Dangerous runs off of a layoff today; however, he is always competitive in races at this level.

Race 9: Maiden Claiming

#1 Kimbo Dancer debuts in an easy spot today for De Paz, who has been hot lately at Belmont Park. The trainer kept him in the race even though it was off of the turf, which is a good sign. #6 Rush to Honor will benefit greatly now that the race has been taken off of the turf.
