Rocket Picks 🚀: Belmont at the Big A, Gulfstream Park, and Churchill Downs for September 18, 2022

Race 7: Claiming

#2 Athwaaq takes another drop in class today after running second in a tougher race last time out. She also will be cutting back in distance for this one as well. #8 Angelinka runs first off of the claim for a solid trainer today, while also dropping down in class. She should get a solid trip from this post position.

Race 8: Allowance

#4 Dr. Blute was a neck away from winning at this level last time out at Saratoga. He looks to be the lone speed in todays contest as well. #5 Whittington Park was third behind our top choice last time out. He will need to sit closer to the pace to have a chance today.

Race 9: Pebbles Stakes (G3)

#1 Majestic Glory makes her debut in the United States after a lackluster resume against tougher horses overseas. Running for the Pletcher barn is a good sign. #12 Gina Romantica goes for two in a row after winning in her turf debut last time out against similar runners.

Race 10: Claiming

#5 Big Agenda runs first off of the claim for a solid trainer after running competitively at this level in the past. Irad Ortiz Jr. jumps aboard today, which is a good sign. #1 Montauk Summer goes for his third straight victory in this spot after winning at Monmouth Park in back to back starts.
