Race 7: Gio Ponti Stakes

#2 Grand Sonata gets class relief in this spot after banging heads with some of the best horses in the crop this season. This is a much better spot for him today. #8 Steady On has been on a roll as of late, while getting Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard once again today. That is a good sign the horse is ready to fire again in this spot.

Race 8: Claiming

#3 Abundant Honor drops down in class for this race after finishing fourth against starter allowance horses last time out. This is a significantly easier field today. #4 Mister Candy Ride was third at this level last time out and should improve today with this being his second start off of the layoff.

Race 9: Allowance

#9 Masterof the Tunes gets a cut back in distance today, while finding a field that does not look to be as tough as what she has been facing lately. #12 Tis a Pity has been close at this level in two straight starts. If she can overcome the post position she should be tough today.

Race 10: Maiden Claiming

#2 Sonja Knips will drops down in class for her second start today, while also moving over to the dirt after running on the turf on debut. #10 K D Kakes debuts in a spot today that looks very winnable for a first time starter. This race leaves a lot to be desired.
