Rocket Picks 🚀: Aqueduct, Del Mar, and Churchill Downs for November 18, 2022

Race 7: Maiden Special Weight

#4 Southern Flag was second last time out at this level and seems to be improving with each start. We can expect a solid performance again today with this stretch out in distance. #6 American Law has run second at this level in back to back races over this track. If he is ready to fire off of the layoff he will be tough to beat in this spot.

Race 8: Allowance Optional Claiming

#1 Ghost Giant was a winner at this level last time out, which was his first start for Linda Rice. A similar effort will make him tough to beat today. #2 Bar Fourteen will move back to the turf today after three straight poor efforts over the dirt. The move back to the lawn will likely move him up significantly.

Race 9: Allowance

#5 Norman Queen goes for two in a row in this spot after a solid win over this track last time out against similar horses. If she his ready to fire off of the layoff she will be tough. #2 Liberty Flame was a solid third last time out at this level and should improve in this spot with it being her second race off of the layoff.

Race 10: Claiming

#9 Monarchs Glen moves over to the dirt for this race, while also dropping down in class. Jose Ortiz stays aboard, which is a good sign. #1 Durkins Call was third against similar horses last time out and now runs first off of the claim today for Linda Rice, who previously owned the horse.
