Ricky’s Rockets ?: Lone Star Park and Saratoga Picks for July 22, 2020

We brought home multiple Pick 4s, Pick 5s, and even the Empire 6 on last Friday’s card. We’re back for a 10-race Saratoga card highlighted by the first-ever Lubash Stakes for New York-bred 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the outer turf.

Also included for FREE with today’s picks is my analysis of Lone Star Park’s nine-race card that features four stakes for Texas-breds.

Best of luck!

Race 7: Maiden Special Weight for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the inner turf

#1 Madison Parc faces state-bred competition for the first time as she relocates from southern California. #10 Sainte Mere Eglise makes her first start since debuting last August, when she closed to finish second at this level and over this same course and distance. #12 Crescent Lady‘s outside post position gives her a tactical advantage in this spot.

Race 8: Allowance for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the outer turf

#2 Wild Medagliad’oro did well in his stakes debut last month at Gulfstream Park behind Muggsamatic, who most recently raced in the United Nations Stakes (G1). #5 Gaugin is one of the more frustrating horses to use due to his unwillingness to finish first, but he’s a must-use based on his talent. #6 La Hara returns after winning both starts last fall for top trainer Chad Brown, who wins at 29% with runners returning from layoffs of over 180 days.

Race 9: Allowance for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on the dirt

#3 Sharp Starr looks to make it 2 in a row after the extended distance help her graduate last time out. #7 Eloquent Speaker stretches out for the first time for trainer Jeremiah Englehart, who has won at 22% in the last 365 days with runners going sprint to route. #8 Singular Sensation‘s back class makes him competitive here.

Race 10: $25k Maiden Claiming for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 7 furlongs on the dirt

#2 Adriatic Holiday drops in for a tag for the first time while seeking much-needed class relief. #4 Mani Pedi makes her first start for new trainer Jimmy Bond, who has an 18% strike rate at the maiden claiming level. #5 Central Perk adds blinkers for her second start and races with a tag for the first time. #10 Happy Hill Lil has improved with each start. Further progression while adding blinkers could help her spring the upset.
