Get Ricky’s Rockets Indiana Grand July 7, 2021Race 1: $5,000 Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt#2 Boo Reid comes into this race having run two quality races in his last two efforts. It’s tough to find consistency in these types of races, especially from horses that have shown the ability to be on the front end as well. #3 Itasca should’ve won last time out, and most likely will be the favorite when they break from the gate here as well. He will be tough to beat as Deshawn Parker gets the call again.Race 2: $30,000 Maiden Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the turfThis Maiden Claiming event is one of the more wide open of the bunch, where I think some of the top choices are vulnerable. #5 Remembrance will have to run much better to win here. She has a ton of pedigree, but didn’t show anything beating only one horse last month. #7 Beach Peach looked solid on debut in a race that was taken off of the grass. We will find out what her best surface is in this one.Race 3: Allowance for Indiana-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the dirt#3 Quick and Easy has been in a bad run of form since she broke her maiden in April. She’s been facing much tougher runners, but sprinting on the dirt is ultimately what she’s best at. #5 Deputy Star doesn’t need to run much better to get the best of this field. 7/5 does seem a little low for anyone who thinks she comes in extremely vulnerable.THE TICKET$5 Pick 3 (Races 1-3) 2,3 / 5,7 / 3,5 – $4050¢ Pick 3 (Races 1-3) 2,3 / 1,2,3,5,7 / 3,5 – $10My product is now on the Handicapping Products Page!
