Gulfstream Park June 30, 2021

Race 5: $12,500-$10,000 Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going about 7 furlongs on the dirt OFF TURF

#4 Pearlescent will look to make her debut for Elizabeth Dobles a winning one, after showing she can be consistent at this level. In both of her wins this year, Edgard Zayas was aboard. #5 I’m a Coco Pebbles draws into this race and immediately becomes a contender. Look for her to be dominant again.

Race 6: $50,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt

#3 Doc Amster takes a big step up in class, but he’s earned the chance to try. He may be the favorite given the connections and the rider. #6 Legal Deal is taking a big step up in class, but has done remarkably well over a track with moisture in it. There is some value on him based on those races.

Race 7: $12,500 Allowance Optional Claiming for Florida-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt

#3 Kamar Taj faces winners for the first time, in what seems to be an extremely manageable spot on paper. She broke her maiden against Florida-bred competition and will look to make it two in a row. #7 Kitty Kitty also won her debut, but she did it a lot more impressively. These two fillies are the best on paper.

Race 8: $35,000 Maiden Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

#3 Triple Jeopardy looked spectacular on the drop down in class. A repeat of that race could see him in the winners’ circle. #9 Double Blessing took a step backwards in his most recent start, finishing sixth by close to 8 lengths. His first two starts of his career, is what he needs to do to win his first career race.
