Ricky’s Rockets 🚀: Gulfstream Park, Laurel Park and Los Alamitos Picks for September 10, 2021

Ricky’s Rockets 🚀 absolutely dominated Kentucky Downs on Thursday afternoon! We brought home two Pick 4’s ($417 and $326) and two Pick 5’s ($1,085 and $2,052) on Thursday afternoon, sweeping the card!! We also gave out the FREE Pick 4 on the Rocket Hour in our preview show! The cross country tour continues, as we throw Los Alamitos into the mix on Friday afternoon. With some of the bigger tracks closed this week, it gives us the bettors an opportunity to make some money at some of the tracks we wouldn’t normally be playing!

Also included below: my 9-race preview of Gulfstream Park, 9-race preview of Laurel Park and 8-race preview of Los Alamitos!

Gulfstream Park September 10, 2021

Race 6: $35,000 Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the dirt

#3 Gitana is looking for her first win since February, when Luis Saez was aboard. She clearly isn’t the same form she was once in, but she has races in her past that make her tough to beat. #4 R Prerogative finished second by 1 1/4 lengths two starts back. She hasn’t won since October, but she’s been extremely competitive in her last couple of starts.

Race 7: $12,500 Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the turf

#1 Spinning Kitten won his last race against Claiming competition. It was a hard knocking effort, using every bit of the stretch to pass Neverstopdreaming in the stretch. #8 Sharm El Sheikh won at this level last time out, taking the field gate-to-wire. He will look to repeat that race, as Luca Panici retains the mount.

Race 8: $35,000-$25,000 Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt

#4 Khozy My Boy is looking for his first race of the year, and the second of his career. He’s finished in the money in 12/23 starts, with only one win to show for it. #5 Dimenna faces winners for the first time, after showing his prowess on the dirt. He debuted on the turf due to his pedigree, but he looked much more comfortable on the main track.

Race 9: $12,500-$10,000 Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the turf

#4 Blue Eye Kitten faces winners for the first time, after breaking his maiden in his 9th career start. Miguel Vasquez was aboard when he broke his maiden last month. #5 Brody’s Honor has faced and beaten winners already, so I’m not entirely sure how she meets these conditions. She has a massive advantage over the rest of the field.
