Ricky’s Rockets 🚀: Delaware Park, Del Mar and Saratoga Picks for August 19, 2021

Ricky’s Rockets 🚀 is back after a productive Wednesday at Saratoga! It was the perfect start to the week, as we look to roll it into Thursday. We are back at Delaware Park, Del Mar and Saratoga to cover coast-to-coast action across the country.

Saratoga August 19, 2021

Race 7: $80,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/4 miles (10 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

TURF RUNNERS SCRATCHED! WILL BE USING: #5 DYNDADRIVE AND #7 CLAYTNTHELIONHEART!

Race 8: $50,000 Claiming for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

#6 Battle Bling didn’t take a step forward as she moved into Danny Gargan’s barn over the summer. She does make sense as she drops in for a tag. #7 Vegas Weekend is interesting because we’ve never seen her on the grass. She should be forwardly placed with the chance to sit the perfect trip.

Race 9: Union Avenue Handicap for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt

#1 Sadie Lady won against a similar bunch back in June with Jose Ortiz aboard. She fits right in here and should be one of the main contenders. #5 Awesome Debate won her only Saratoga race on July 18 for Danny Gargan. It was over a sloppy track, but one that was pretty impressive.

Race 10: Maiden Special Weight for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

#4 Marvelous Maude got into gear down the stretch finishing third by less than two lengths. Irad Ortiz Jr. takes over for Jose Lezcano in this one. WILL ALSO BE USING: #6 LA VICTORIA
