Saratoga August 20, 2021

Race 7: $25,000 Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on the dirt

#6 Gimme Some Mo has disappointed as the favorite on too many occasions to make him trustworthy. With that being said, he should run one of his better races here. #8 Moonlight Now gets a big rider upgrade as Joel Rosario rides for Charlie Baker.

Race 8: Starter Allowance for 3-year-olds and upward going 7 furlongs on the dirt

#6 Mister Luigi comes out of an extremely tough Amsterdam Stakes (G2), led by one of the fastest sprinters in the country in Jackie’s Warrior. No one in this field can replicate that sort of performance. #7 Full Court Press moves up in class, after winning against low-level Claimers. This will be his first start for Horacio DePaz.

Race 9: Skidmore Stakes for 2-year-olds going 5 1/2 furlongs on the dirt OFF TURF

ALSO USING: #2 AVERLY JANE! #9 Overbore broke his maiden in the Tremont Stakes last time out on Belmont Stakes weekend. He is clearly the most talented horse in the race, and will be a short price again.

Race 10: $40,000 Maiden Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/8 (9 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

ALSO USING: #2 LITTLE NUTTER #8 Dearest Kitten gets back to the grass, for the first time since June. Wesley Ward didn’t do much with her, but maybe Mike Maker can.
