This is the two to three week stretch after the final Win and You’re In Races, that help build up towards the Breeders’ Cup. None of the races this weekend have massive implications, but they are great betting races that should be very competitive nonetheless. There are three great cards on tap, and plenty of ways to win money as well!
Also included below: my 10-race preview of Keeneland and 8-race preview of Santa Anita.
Best of luck!
Race 7: $62,500 Allowance Optional Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 7 furlongs on the dirt OFF TURF
WILL BE USING: #6 Secure Connection and #10 OUR CIRCLE OF LOVE
Race 8: Maiden Special Weight for 2-year-olds going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt
#2 Rational Choice was asked to go a mile in his debut, and he passed the test. He was clearly second best behind the better part of an entry for Todd Pletcher. He should do much better in his second career start for Chad Brown. #6 Ten for Ten also finished second in his debut, but he only went six furlongs. From the start, he looked like he would fare better running at longer distances, something he’ll get a chance to do in this race.
Race 9: Allowance for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF
WILL BE USING: #3 KEY BISCAYNE AND #9 UNA LUNA
Race 10: Maiden Special Weight for 2-year-old fillies going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt
WILL BE USING: #5 DOLLAR MOUNTAIN AND #6 NO ORDINARY TIME
