Race 7: $62,500 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the dirt

#5 Hidden Scroll is the horse that no one has been able to figure out. He has so much talent, but the connections tried him on turf in his last three starts. If he has anything left he might be able to get the job done on the dirt. #9 Pete’s Play Call was able to go gate-to-wire in his last race at this level last time out. He provides plenty of value if he goes off anything close to 5/1 when they leave the gate.

Race 8: Noble Damsel Stakes (G3) for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the widener turf

#7 Noor Sahara is still in search of her first win since coming over from France last year. She ran second in the De La Rose Stakes in her most recent effort at Saratoga. #9 Feel Glorious will look to make it two in a row after her Staes win in the Perfect Sting Stakes where she beat fellow runner Chaleur by a 1/2 length.

Race 9: Vosburgh Stakes (G2) for 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the dirt

With one of the best sprinters in the sport in Volatile now in retirement, #1 True Timber and #6 Engage become the top choices. True Timber has finished in the money in 6/7 races here at Belmont and will look to add to her seven-figure lifetime earnings. Engage will make his first start since he lost to Mitole in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) last year. He makes the most sense on paper, if he can repeat some of those performances from last year for Steve Asmussen.

Race 10: $30,000 Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the widener turf

#3 Shootin the Breeze gets back to where he finished second twice in both of his starts over this turf course. He will need a lot of pace to close into as he likes to be well out of it and close from behind. #11 Barleewon tries Claiming competition for the first time in his career. He’s undefeated at Belmont Park and will look to continue his winning ways as John Velazquez gets back aboard for the fifth time in his career.
