There isn’t much to say other than WOW! Saturday afternoon at Churchill Downs, was one of the more magical days in quite some time. Between, the atmosphere, the excitement, the spectators and the equine athletes themselves, it was one of the days we will remember forever. #RickysRockets🚀 also had a great day cashing some tickets from every track across the country! Belmont Park May 2, 2021

Race 6: Starter Allowance for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the widener turf

#6 Simme Some Mo is looking for his first win after breaking his maiden at Gulfstream Park back in January. I’m willing to throw his last race out, since we know he’s a turf horse this point in his career. He gets back to his main surface, and should run one of his better races. #10 Blue Lou Boyle faces winners for the first time in his career, after getting the job done after three straight second place efforts. Joel Rosario picks up the mount here.

Race 7: $80,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the inner turf

#5 Space Launch was thrown into the Awad Stakes in his second start for Christophe Clement. He didn’t quite take to the yielding turf course, but wasn’t horrible either. This is his first start since October 31, 2020. #7 Public Sector didn’t make too much of an impact in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) at Keeneland last year. This should be a much easier spot for him, in his first start of the year.

Race 8: Ruffian Stakes (G2) for fillies and mares 4-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt

#3 Our Super Freak ran a heck of a race when she competed against Monomoy Girl in the Bayakoa Stakes (G3) at Oaklawn Park in February. It was a merry-go-round race, but she did well enough to earn her spot in a competitive Ruffian Stakes (G2). #4 Lake Avenue has been dominant this year winning both of her races by a combined 11 1/4 lengths. This will be the toughest field she’s faced since the Fantasy Stakes (G3) last year at Oaklawn Park.

Race 9: $40,000 Maiden Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the widener turf

#4 Count Down really has no excuse not to win this race, given how he’s competed down at Gulfstream Park this year. In similar races, he’s finished second in two straight races. The cut-back in distance should only help his cause as well. #7 Orders will have to win on debut to beat Count Down, but the pedigree and connections are there to get the job done. If Count Down isn’t good, he’s got a strong chance to surprise everyone in the field.
