Ricky’s Rockets 🚀: Belmont Park, Delaware Park and Gulfstream Park Picks for July 3, 2021

#RickysRockets🚀 continues hitting a new track on Saturday afternoon, as we head to Delaware Park to cover the Kent Stakes (G3) and the Delaware Oaks (G3). These stakes races are just two of eight that we will be hitting on Saturday! It’s a loaded day throughout, and it’s all covered right here! This is the time to hop on board and make some money, right before we head to Saratoga and Del Mar for the summer

Race 7: $20,000 Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt

#2 Vineyard Sound ran his first good race of the year, so that’s highly encouraging. He’s historically been a much better runner over a muddy/sloppy track as well. He’s still looking for his first win since last October. #7 Joycee Haz Pizzaz has won two in a row against Claiming competition, so 5/1 morning-line odds seem to be extremely generous. He’s one of many who has a chance in here to kick off the late Pick 4 sequence.

Race 8: $80,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

TURF RUNNERS HAVE BEEN SCRATCHED! WILL BE USING: #1A GHAZAALY AND #9 RESTORED ORDER

Race 9: Perfect Sting Stakes for fillies and mares 4-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

TURF RUNNERS HAVE BEEN SCRATCHED! WILL BE USING: #2 HOGANS HOLIDAY AND #8 VELVET CRUSH

Race 10: Suburban Stakes (G2) for 4-year-olds and upward going 1 1/4 miles (10 furlongs) on the dirt

#1 Moretti has been fantastic when running here at Belmont Park, finishing in the money in all of his efforts. He will need to improve to beat #6 Happy Saver, who’s yet to lose in his career. Happy Saver is 3/3 here at Belmont, and has done everything right to this point in his career. This will easily be the biggest test of his career as well.
