Ricky’s Rockets 🚀: Belmont Park, Churchill Downs and Gulfstream Park Picks for May 29, 2021

Unfortunately, #RickysRockets🚀 wasn’t able to continue the streak of winning days, but that just means it’s time to start a new one! As we approach Saturday, we are just one week away from the Belmont Stakes. Churchill Downs is the focus of the attention with seven stakes races on the card, highlighted by the Matt Winn Stakes (G3) for 3-year-olds. There aren’t any G1 stakes races on tap, but the action is full throttle, and it’s time to make some money!

Race 7: Maiden Special Weight for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the dirt OFF TURF

#3 Evoking has put together two bullet works, that have been simply breathtaking over the main track here at Belmont Park. If he’s able to show that speed in a race, he’s going to be a player. WILL ALSO BE USING #16 Sand and Sea!

Race 8: $80,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt

#7 Doubly Blessed is looking to get back to his winning ways after a solid second-place effort last time out at this level. Luis Saez takes over a horse with a lot of tactical speed. #9 Mystic Night has been a completely different runner as a four year old for Chad Brown. If his progression stays on this path, he could be in a stakes race in his next start.

Race 9: Pennine Ridge Stakes (G2) for 3-year-olds going 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

TURF RUNNERS HAVE BEEN SCRATCHED! WILL BE USING: #5 Sainthood and #6 Minuteman

Race 10: $30,000 Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF
