Ricky’s Rockets 🚀: Belmont Park, Churchill Downs and Gulfstream Park Picks for June 11, 2021

#RickysRockets🚀 started off the week the way we did last week by cashing some HUGE tickets at Churchill Downs! We struck at Churchill Downs, taking home both Pick 4’s ($366.60, $333.65) and both Pick 5’s ($933.10, $933.15)! It’s the perfect way to start off the week, as we look to keep the momentum going on Friday afternoon. We get Gulfstream Park back in the mix as well, to kick off the weekend!

Also included below: my 9-race preview of Belmont Park, 9-race preview of Churchill Downs, 9-race preview of Gulfstream Park!

Best of luck!

Belmont Park June 11, 2021

Race 6: Maiden Special Weight for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the widener turf

#3 Marvleous Maude makes her debut for Chad Brown against some runners that have been tested already. She has the pedigree to run on the turf, but going two turns may be a question mark. Jose Lezcano gets the chance to prove how good of a rider he is on the grass. #10 Kreesa La Wrote has been in the mix in the majority of her races, including her most recent one against Runaway Rumour. Runaway Rumour is now undefeated, and could be a stakes-bound runner next time out.

Race 7: $80,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt

#2 Slam Dunk has run well in her two races here at Belmont Park, but she hasn’t converted either of those into wins. No one in this field stands out, but she’s one of the fillies who has a chance to win. #7 Finding Fame also has two strong races at Belmont Park, finishing second in both. She’s a much better sprinter than a miler, and this race should prove it.

Race 8: Allowance for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/4 miles (10 furlongs) on the inner turf

#7 Shamrocket was great in the Man O War Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park last month, indicating he can go this distance. He was up against it running against stakes winners. He shouldn’t have a problem competing against Allowance runners in this spot. #10 Good Old Boy is coming off of a strong win here at Belmont Park for Mike Maker. It was his first race since January, and maybe the layoff was good for him. He’s more than talented enough to make it two in a row.

Race 9: $40,000 Maiden Claiming for New York-bred 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the widener turf

#6 Noble Conquest makes his debut at the Maiden Claiming ranks, after four races against Maiden Special Weight competition. This is a much needed drop given how poor he’s been against tougher runners. #7 Majestic Sky made good work of his turf debut in his last start. He won’t be going back to the dirt any time soon if his last race was an indication of what he could be moving forward.
