Ricky’s Rockets ?: Aqueduct, Churchill Downs and Del Picks for November 28, 2020

Ricky’s Rockets? has been soaring through the atmosphere as of late. Pick 4’s and Pick 5’s have been hitting at an unbelievable rate all across the country. Luckily, there are plenty of more opportunities to get involved with action from Aqueduct, Churchill Downs, and Del Mar.

Race 7: Central Park Stakes for 2-year-olds going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the inner turf

#7 Hard Love was on the front end and once he was given the green light, he sped away from the field under Manny Franco. It was impressive to see him run like that on debut going 8 1/2 furlongs, a very daunting task for any runner. #8 Never Surprised won on debut as well, but did so sprinting. He never had any issue in that race, but the distance will be a question here, but this race sets up perfectly if he can sit off of the pace like he did in his debut for Todd Pletcher who’s winning at 33% at the meet.

Race 8: Allowance for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt

#6 Undine took to the sloppy track extremely well last time out. The biggest factor for her, was the fact it was her second start off of the layoff so she was probably more fit than she was in her long-awaited return. #8 Center Aisle finished third in consecutive stakes races for three year olds on the dirt, in her most recent races. She looks strong on paper as she drops down to the Allowance level.

Race 9: Aqueduct Turf Sprint Championship Stakes for 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the outer turf

#9 Archidust was looking to stay undefeated when he ran in the Belmont Turf Sprint Invitational last time out. He finished 3rd in that race, and looks to be tough to beat on paper as he makes his Aqueduct debut. #10 Therapist hasn’t finished outside the top three in any start in 2020. He’s shown the ability to win at longer distances, but has won both of his two races going 6 furlongs on the turf.

Race 10: Long Island Stakes (G3) for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 3/8 miles (11 furlongs) on the inner turf

#9 Theodra B. has logged many miles in her career running all across the country as well as Canada. She’s had a nice year cumulating three wins in five starts, and will look to cap off 2020 with a win going 11 furlongs. #11 Hungry Kitten is looking for her first win at the stakes level. She deserves a second chance after finishing second over a heavy yielding course in the Zagora Stakes last time out.
