Handicapping Ricky’s Rockets ?: Aqueduct, Churchill Downs and Del Picks for November 27, 2020 November 26, 2020 Handicapping Ricky’s Rockets ?: Aqueduct, Churchill Downs and Del Picks for November 27, 2020 November 26, 2020 By: Ricky Pasternak email Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article There’s nothing like Thanksgiving, Turkey and thoroughbred racing. As we transition into the weekend Ricky’s Rockets? has you covered across the country. It’s been another great start to the week, including another massive Pick 4 and Pick 5 from Churchill Downs yesterday! Also included below: my 11-race preview of Churchill Downs and 9-race preview of Del Mar. Best of luck! ( Content Continues Below Ad ) Race 7: $62,500 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the dirt #4 Pete’s Play Call got the lead for a brief moment, but got nailed at the wire, after a fantastic ride from Luis Saez. Jose Ortiz will look to get him to the winners’ circle after he deserved to win last time out. #1A Chateau took the lead in the race that included Pete’s Play Call on October 25. He cuts back slightly in distance, which could make a big difference. Race 8: Comely Stakes (G3) for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on the dirt #1 Miss Marissa looked extremely impressive in the Black Eye Susan Stakes (G2) last time out at 10/1. She has gotten better and better this year and will look for 4 straight wins. #6 Mrs. Danvers has one stakes race under her belt, and she didn’t beat one horse. In her defense, she faced Gamine who is one of the best female sprinters in the country, and simply couldn’t keep up. Race 9: Forever Together Stakes for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the inner turf #4 Feel Glorious was stuck on the rail for most of the race with very little running room. Once she was able to find that room, she showed some kick down the stretch. It’s vital for her to not get buried down inside early into the first turn. #7 No Mo Lady has never finished outside of the top three running at this distance on the turf. In her toughest test of her career in the Galorette Stakes (G3) she finished third over a yielding course. Race 10: $40,000 Maiden Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF #7 Prince of Caps has run his better races going long on the turf. I’m not in love with making him my top choice, but his speed figures suggest that he’s better on paper than the rest of the field.
