Race 5: Maiden Special Weight for 3-year-olds going 6 furlongs on the dirt

#1 Kid Cash actually faced AOC competition as opposed to Maiden Special Weight competition. I’m not sure why Rudy Rodriguez would choose that route, but he gets back to the dirt in hopes to break his maiden in his 4th career start. #3 Subsidize has gotten better and better with each start, but he hasn’t been able to seal the deal down the stretch. He hasn’t lived up to the hype considering his purchase price and his pedigree, but it’s possible he finds how to win now that he’s a year older. He certainly will take a lot of money as they enter the gate.

Race 6: Starter Allowance for fillies and mares 4-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt

#5 Amos hasn’t run on a fast main track in quite some time. She has finished either first or second in 5/9 starts on the dirt and finished first or second in 4/8 starts. She will be one of the strongest closers as they make their way around the far turn. #8 Big Bennys Tribute finished second at this level in his last start and deserves to try this spot again based on that race.

Race 7: $80,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for 4-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt

#4 Lil Commissioner probably went a little shorter than what he wanted to in this spot last time out. His 6 career wins have come at this distance indicating he will do better going 8 furlongs.

Race 8: $16,000 Claiming for 4-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the dirt

#6 Shandian was not very good in this race last time out, but this is the type of race that usually sees winners go gate-to-wire. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him bounce back in a big way here as bettors look to go in different directions. #7 Number One Dillon will make his first start for Rob Atras who is winning at 20% at the meet. His runners are also finishing in the money at an amazing 60% clip as well. This is not a shot at his former trainer, but he has the potential to be running better than he ever has before.
