After a cancelled card and no maiden special weight races, we are back with two exciting races. The rest of the card has lofty expectations as well as eight stakes races are on tap. Tomorrow should provide a great opportunity for stars on the NYRA circuit to add to their legacy.
Belmont Meet Statistics (9/6 through 10/18):

Race 3: $62,000 MSW for New-York-bred 2-year-old fillies going 6 furlongs on the dirt
#1 Playtone looks to hit the winners’ circle in his third career start and his second start for George Weaver. In his debut, he was a distant second to Risky Mischief who has already shown to be a super-talented filly. In his last start, she dueled with Allure Fortune during the latter stages in the race and didn’t have much to offer once Firenze Freedom took over. She enters this spot cutting back in distance which should only help her cause.
Ricky’s Picks: 1-3-9-10

Race 11: 62,000 MSW for New-York-bred 3-years-old and upward going 7 furlongs on the Widener turf
Linda Rice gets the chance for the first time to bring back #1 Worth a Shot to the track within a reasonable amount of time. In his debut, he struggled mightily and was never in the race. Earlier this June he ran his best race and missed the winners’ circle by a neck. In his most recent start, he lost out to Qian B C after leading most of the way. With a lack of early speed, Worth a Shot should have no problem going out on his own and control the pace.
Ricky’s Picks: 1-10-8-3
