NYRA Preview: Belmont Park 10/11

While the Belmont Park fall meet has been a huge success for me and the Racing Dudes team, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has followed along. With the JPMorgan Chase Jessamine Stakes (G2) complete, there are no more Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” races. The Racing Dudes team has provided fans with previews, recaps, and replays to ensure that all of our fans are up-to-date. It’s a major accomplishment. We are under a month away from the best weekend in the sport!

There is only one maiden special weight (MSW) race on Friday’s card, but it should provide a lot of excitement as it is the first leg in the Grand Slam (Races 4-7) betting sequence.

Race 4: $62,000 MSW for New York-bred 2-year-old fillies going 6 furlongs on the Widener turf

Christophe Clement’s coupled entries #1 Saratoga Love (1/1) and #1A Stretchthestory (1/1) will be tough to beat in this spot. Stretchthestory will make her third start for Clement, having shown consistent improvement since debuting at Saratoga in August. She is a deep closer and will need her stablemate to set quick fractions. There is a very good chance that the very aggressive Manny Franco sends Saratoga Love to the front, which should help Stretchthestory storm home late. Saratoga Love might force other contenders to make a decision on whether to chase her or not.
