NYRA Preview: Aqueduct 2/6

NYRA Preview: Aqueduct 2/6

After a few days away from the track, racing at the Big A is back and better than ever. There are eight races on today’s card, as the weather may play a factor in what we see on there racetrack. There is one maiden special weight (MSW) race that I dove into as a new week of racing is underway.

Race 1: $60,000 MSW for New-York-bred fillies and mares 4-years-old and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt

#1 Amos makes her debut for her new trainer Michael Miceli after failing to win in her first seven starts of her career. Her best effort was last May at Belmont Park finishing second, on the one-turn mile. Dylan Davis and Michael Miceli have won at 33% in the last 365 days and have done well together at Aqueduct in the past. I expect Amos to be sent to the lead and go gate-to-wire on the weakest field she has seen in her career.
