NYRA Preview: Aqueduct 12/30

After being away from the track for a good portion of last week due to the holidays, the Big A is back with a special Monday afternoon card. There is one maiden special weight (MSW) race that is a must watch as Todd Pletcher returns to Aqueduct. The Empire 6 jackpot has grown to over $125,000 and today’s eight race card provides ample opportunities to be a part of the action.

Race 3: $68,000 MSW for New-York-bred 3-years-old and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt

Todd Pletcher makes his return to the Big A with a colt by Uncle Mo in #7 One Eyed Jack. The last time we saw him was at Saratoga over four months ago. He didn’t show a lot of early speed then, and I don’t expect him to do the same today. One Eyed Jack had a horrid trip on that day and never had a chance to get to Fireball Shot in the stretch. I expect a big performance out of him today at a very short price.
