Race 1: $60,000 MSW for New-York-bred 2-year-old fillies going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt
Horacio DePaz doesn’t feature many of his horses on the NYRA circuit very often. When he does, it is a sharp angle for all horseplayers to pay attention to. #6 Sharp Starr makes her way north after training at Pimlico in the mornings. DePaz also has had a nice rapport with young jockey Julio Correa as the two have partnered to win 4/12 (33%) in 2019. Sharp Starr has posted pretty quick times for a 2-year-old filly who should fly under the radar as the Englehart/Servis entry should get most of the money.
