NYRA Preview: Aqueduct 11/7

NYRA Preview: Aqueduct 11/7

The Big A is back better than ever. The fall meet gives racing fans the opportunity to see horses get into the winners’ circle for the first time before the start of the new year. After a brief break for the Breeders’ Cup, my NYRA previews are back and poised to help the bettors make some money. I look to continue my recent success as the Belmont Park fall meet was very good for the Racing Dudes team. Today begins the new meet at Aqueduct, with one maiden special weight (MSW) race that I’ve previewed.

Race 4: $62,000 MSW for New-York-bred 2-year-olds going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt

Linda Rice has gotten off to a very quick start at Aqueduct after the first couple of race days. Her 2-year-old colt #3 First Deputy will make his debut going this far. His best race in his career was his last one at Belmont on September 28 when he made his debut on dirt. There isn’t a ton of early speed in this race which will give Jose Ortiz the time to position First Deputy where he wants him on the racetrack. Linda Rice is winning at 31% when her horses stretch-out and gain the extra distance. First Deputy should be the post-time favorite and look to break his debut at the Big A.
