NYRA Preview: Aqueduct 1/23

After a few days away from the track, racing is back at the Big A! There is one maiden special weight (MSW) race that I’ve previewed for today in Race 4. There are plenty of opportunities to make money on the card including the Pick 6 carryover of over $179,000.

Race 4: $68,000 MSW for 3-year-old fillies going 6 furlongs on the dirt

#2 Kansas Kis is by far the most talented filly in this group of six. Her most recent effort going 6 furlongs here at Aqueduct was promising as she rallied home late to finish second. In her past starts, there was not a ton of early speed up front which made it difficult for her to close. With speed coming from her outside, the task today becomes much easier for the filly from the Raymond Handal barn who needs a win desperately in 2020.
