NYRA Preview: Aqueduct 1/10

The Racing Dudes team and I had a great day yesterday as we hit our top choice, exactas and trifectas. Today provides one of the better maiden special weight (MSW) races we will see in January. Today’s race is for 3-year-old fillies with a ton of promise and look for the new year to provide better results. A very competitive field should provide a compelling race from start to finish.

Race 5: $68,000 MSW for 3-year-old fillies going 1 mile on the dirt

This is one of the most competitive fields that we are going to see in the maiden special weight class at this time of the year. Most of these runners don’t have a ton of experience and hoping their 3-year-old campaign starts out well. #3 Halo City ran very well in her second career start after leading the entire way. Truth Hurts, who beat Halo City, is now undefeated in two career starts. Halo City is stretching out today, but she is my top choice as he last effort would be more than good enough to win here.
