Ippodamia’s Girl Captures Osunitas

DEL MAR, CA – George and Martha Schwary Racing’s Ippodamia’s Girl captured the $80,000 Osunitas Stakes, an overnight offering for older fillies and mares, by 1/2 a length at Del Mar on Saturday.

The 6-year-old homebred daughter of Stormy Atlantic raced mid-pack for most of the trip, then swung very wide on the turn and ran strongly through the lane under Joe Bravo.

The Osunitas was Bravo’s third stakes victory here. He took the 2017 Jimmy Durante with Daddy Is A Legend and 2018 edition of the same race with Elsa.

Brooke, Tapwater, Sedamar, She’s So Special, Heathers Grey, Dynasty of Her Own, Nasty, and Candura completed the order of finish.

Richard Baltas trains the winner, who returned $14.80 to win, $7 to place, and $3.60 to show. Brooke brought back $4.20 to place and $3 to show. Tapwater paid $3 to show.
