Belmont Park is highlighted today with the Grade 1, $500,000 Champagne Stakes, a Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series “Win and You’re In” event for the Sentient Jet Juvenile on November 2 at Churchill Downs. The Grade 1 Champagne shares the Saturday card with three other stakes races with potential Breeders’ Cup implications: the Grade 1 Beldame Stakes (which could have runners go to the Longines Distaff), the Grade 2 Hill Prince Stakes (which could have runners go to the Longines Turf or the Mile), and the $150,000 Belmont Sprint Turf Invitational Stakes (which could have runners go to the Turf Sprint).
