The Grand National is perhaps the most famous fence race in the world, and the hardest one to win.

Just ask Richard Johnson, who has ridden in the most renewals of the race without ever getting his hands on the trophy.

Having not had a ride for the last two seasons, this year, he will take his chance on Rock The Kasbah, who you can back at around 16/1 to win this year’s race.

Ahead of the race, Betway sat down with the champion jockey to discuss his experiences of the race, the memories that stand out most, and how much it would to mean to finally complete the set on Saturday the 6th of April.

All eyes will be on Liverpool as the biggest race in the fence racing calendar goes under starter’s orders.
