Best of luck!

Race 7: $40,000 Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the widener turf

#5 Skye Snow ran third at this level on August 16 in her first start since April 24. That was her New York debut and she faced tougher than what she will see in this field. #9 Mo Me Mo My ran second at this level, in her first race at the Claiming ranks. She is only Doug O’Neill’s second runner at the meet, who is based mostly in California, and brings his best to the NYRA (New York Racing Association) circuit.

Race 8: Allowance for New York-bred 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt

#1 Blackjack Davey has finished second at this level two times in a row and will look to repeat his only win which came at Belmont on July 2. #7 Unrelenting Force has showed speed in the past but tends to fall off if pushed to his limits. He should be on the lead again, but won’t have too much to contend with early on.

Race 9: $62,500 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the widener turf

#5 Readyforprimetime finished a game third in the Lucky Coin Stakes at Saratoga on September 6. He won at this level two starts back, and is the top choice in this field. #7 Sayaaf is always on the lead and tries to go gate-to-wire. His tendencies don’t chance but sometimes his results do. If I’m willing to take anywhere in the 7/2-4/1 range, that would be value for a trainer in Chad Brown who’s winning at 24% at the Allowance levels.

Race 10: $40,000 Maiden Claiming for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the widener turf

#1 Bonus Baby ran second in her first start in for a tag. She’s never ran under 10/1 in her career, and bettors certainly won’t be getting those odds this time around. #7 High School Crush has two seconds in four career starts on the turf. She will need to run her best race to beat this field, but it’s possible she is getting better after two straight second-place efforts.
