Ricky’s Rockets ?: Churchill Downs, Gulfstream Park and Saratoga Picks for September 3, 2020

The weather really affected how we did at Churchill Downs and Saratoga yesterday. Even though we weren’t able to string any sequences together, we got a bunch of big prices home as top choices. Ricky’s Rockets are back at Saratoga for a 10-race card. The two features are the P. G. Johnson Stakes and the New York Stallion Series Stakes both for fillies.

Race 7: $35,000 Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 7 furlongs on the dirt OFF TURF

Race 8: $62,500 Allowance Optional Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs on the dirt

#2 Jc’s Shooting Star stormed home late at 10/1 last time out. She will be hoping for early speed to close into again and make it two in a row in the process. #3 Palace Avenger is 2/3 at this distance and one of those wins came last time out at Saratoga on July 16. She will look to make it two in a row as she looks to do it on the front end. #6 Fair Regis has done well for Rob Atras who took over for Jason Servis earlier in the year. Rob Atras is winning at 15% so far at the meet and is 16/27 with in the money finishes at the meet as well.

Race 9: $62,500 Allowance Optional Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

Race 10: Maiden Special Weight for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 7 furlongs on the dirt OFF TURF
