Rocket Picks 🚀: Keeneland and Oaklawn Park for April 21, 2023

Let’s get another big Friday of racing kicked off today! We are changing things up with the Rockets, focusing more on Pick 3 and Pick 5 plays, and not Pick 4’s. With that being said, this article will now focus on Pick 3’s with larger base wagers. Today, we will look at the late Pick 3 from Keeneland. Race 8: Allowance

#2 Fast As Flight gets some class relief today, while getting Irad Ortiz, Jr. to ride, which is a good sign she is ready to fire with a top effort. #1 Juncture will make her debut in the United States in this spot for a solid trainer in Brad Cox, who should have her ready to fire.

Race 9: Doubledogdare Stakes (G3)

We’ll go with a single in this leg with #4 Interstatedaydream for Brad Cox. He is on fire once again this season at Keeneland, while the horse was solid in her 4-year-old debut last time out, finishing third behind two good horses in the Azeri Stakes (G2). She should be ready to fire a big one today.

Race 10: Allowance

#5 Battle of Normandy gets major class relief if this spot after running in stakes races in his last three starts. He also gets Irad Ortiz, Jr. to ride for the first time. #2 Ocean Pointe will move over to the turf again after a solid season on the synthetic surface at Turfway Park. We will also use #7 Reckoning Force and #9 Our Dream Rye’d on our ticket.
