Free NHL Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 4/18/22

We ended a good week betting the NHL with a decent Saturday. There are only 2 weeks left in the regular season and the playoffs are beginning to take shape, although the Western Conference still has some drama left.

We cashed our Best Bet as the Maple Leafs beat the Islanders 4-2 to keep rolling along in the Atlantic division. That improved our Best Bet of the Day record to 39-25 since the All-Star Break.

We went 4-2 betting the MoneyLine to improve our overall record to 273-149 since the All-Star break

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET* Dallas at Vancouver: This is a big game in the battle for the playoffs in the Western conference in the NHL. The Stars are tied with Nashville for the final wild-card spot with 91 points. They lead Vegas by 4-pts and the Canucks by 7. So, they are in decent shape, but they have to keep winning down the stretch. This would be a nice win to pick up on the road. Meanwhile, Vancouver is making a late bid to nab a final playoff spot. They have won 5 in a row, and they have pulled to within 6-pts of the Kings who are 3rd in the Pacific division, plus they have played two less games. The Canucks have to win this one, so they will be focused and motivated. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on Vancouver -105

*BEST GAME OF THE DAY* Washington at Colorado: The Capitals come into Colorado to take on an Avalanche team that hasn’t lost in their last 11 games. Colorado is nearly unbeatable at home, having lost only 4 times in 38 games. Washington is safely in the playoffs, but they currently sit in the last wild-card spot, and are trying to catch Pittsburgh for the 3rd spot in the Metropolitan division. They are on an 11-6 run and they have the best road record in the league. This should be a great game to watch. I give the Capitals an average chance to win, but picking against Colorado at this point is just dumb. PAPA DUDES PICK: Colorado
