Free Pick: Seattle 5-8 at LA Rams 9-4 12/19/21

Seattle still has a shot at the playoffs, but they have to win this game. The Rams are coming off of a huge victory over Arizona on Monday night and are now just a game behind the Cardinals. Suddenly, they are back in the race for the NFC West division title, and this is a must-win game for them also. This is setting up to be a slugfest for these two division rivals. Let’s see the lines..

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

Seattle: 20.5 Total Team Points The Seahawks have struggled all year on offense, but in the last two weeks, they have scored 63 points and have shown signs of figuring things out. Quarterback, Russell Wilson, seems to be as healthy as he has been all year, and that is a reason for hope for Seattle. The Rams’ defense played well Monday night against Arizona, and they seem to be trending in the right direction, heading down the stretch. I’m taking Seattle OVER 20.5 team points.

LA Rams: 27.5 Total Team Points Matthew Stafford has had a great season. He is completing 67% of his passes for 3,898 yards with 33 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions. The Seattle defense is holding opponents to 20 points per game, but they have been vulnerable against the pass. So, Stafford could have a lot of success in this one. I’m betting Seattle slows them down. Los Angeles UNDER 27.5 team points

OVER/UNDER 45.5 Total Combined Team Points The Rams beat the Seahawks 26-17 earlier in the year and I’m thinking this line is about right. I could see it going either way. No bet for me on this line.

POINT SPREAD: Los Angeles is a 4.5-point favorite. The Rams are flying high after their big win over the Cardinals. They looked like a Super Bowl contender in that game. The question is whether they can keep up the intensity against a Seattle team that is making their last stand. The Dudes are split on this one.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Seattle +4.5

AARON’S PICK: Los Angeles -4.5
