Free Pick: New England 9-4 at Indianapolis 7-6 12/18/21

The Patriots put their seven game winning streak on the line against a decent Colts’ team that is fighting for the playoffs. New England has a two game lead in the AFC East, and a win here could all but sew up the division. Meanwhile, if Indy can win this game, it might be the game that propels them into a wild card spot. I think this has the makings of a really good one. And, remember the game is slated for Saturday night at 7:15.

TOTAL TEAM TOTALS:

New England: 21.5 Total Team Points The Patriots are averaging 27 points per game and rookie quarterback, Mac Jones is improving and playing at a high level. They are going up against an Indianapolis defense, that is giving up 22 points and 342 total yards of offense for the season. If you believe the Patriots are going to win this game, then it is logical to bet the over. I’m taking the OVER on New England scoring 21.5 team points.

Indianapolis: 22.5 Total Team Points The Colts are having a really good year on offense. They are putting up 29 points per game and have been able to run the ball behind Jonathan Taylor who has 1,348 yards and has scored 16 touchdowns. Quarterback, Carson Wentz has been efficient and dependable. They will be tested by the New England defense that has allowed only 73 total points during this 7-game winning streak. If you like Indy, you have to take the over. I’ll take Indianapolis UNDER 22.5 team points.

OVER/UNDER 45.5 Combined Team Point Totals: I like both teams’ defenses to keep the other team’s offense in check. I would take the UNDER.

POINT SPREAD: Indianapolis is a 2-point favorite Surprisingly, the Colts are favored against the red-hot Patriots. I do have concerns that New England is due to lose a game, and Indianapolis could solidify their chances for a wild card spot with a victory. So, who has the emotional edge? The line is pretty simple, whoever you like to win, take them.
