Race 5: Maiden Special Weight

#3 Gimme M Baby just missed at this level last time out at Keeneland by a nose. Her form should travel well with her to Del Mar. #9 Shes Got a Way ran better on the turf last time out, finishing a solid fourth. The stretch out in distance today should be to her liking.

Race 6: Maiden Claiming

#5 Fenestra runs off a long layoff today, which is the only concern. The trainer is pretty solid off of layoffs, though, while this horse looks faster than this group on paper. #8 Safe Combination drops down in class after running third last time out over this track. This horse should be in the mix today.

Race 7: Let It Ride Stakes

#2 Crew Dragon is a consistent turf runner on the California circuit. He finished second in a tough allowance event at Santa Anita last time out. #7 Coulthard runs second off the layoff today, which should yield some improvement. He had won two races in a row before the break.

Race 8: Claiming

#4 V Bucks must rebound today after a poor start last time out. Her back class makes her interesting, though, while its good to see Luis Saez get aboard. #6 Ruthies Racer runs off the layoff today for Miller, who usually has them ready to fire. The filly also takes a slight drop down in class.
