NCAAF Free Pick: Auburn (6-2) at Texas A&M (6-2) 11/6/21 November 2, 2021 Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports NCAAF Free Pick: Auburn (6-2) at Texas A&M (6-2) 11/6/21 November 2, 2021 By: Mike Halterman email Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article The winner of this game still has a chance at winning the SEC west. If Auburn can go into College Station and knock off the Aggies, they would set themselves going into the Alabama game, for a chance at a berth in the SEC conference championship game. But, first things first, let’s see if they have a chance.TOTAL TEAM POINTS:Auburn: 22.5 Total Team Points The Tigers are averaging 35 points and 452 total yards per game. These stats point to them easily surpassing the 22.5. The only two games they haven’t scored above this total were 20 against Penn State and 10 against Georgia. Both of those teams are really good on defense. But, so are the Aggies. They are holding teams to 16 points per game and the only teams that scored over 22.5 were Mississippi State (26) and Alabama (38). They also have had two weeks to get ready for the Tigers. I like Auburn OVER 22.5 team points.Texas A&M: 27.5 Total Team Points: The Aggies are averaging 30 points and 396 total yards per game. They have been much better on offense in the last 3 games, (41 against Alabama, 35 at Missouri, and 44 against South Carolina). But, Missouri and South Carolina are very questionable competition. The Auburn defense held Mississippi to 20 points last week and that is pretty impressive. Other than Georgia (34) and Penn State (28), they have held teams to 25 or less in the other 6 games. I like Texas A&M UNDER 27.5 team points.OVER/UNDER: 49 Total Team Combined Points I have the final score within a point of two either way in this game. I could see it being 27-24 or 24-21. So, you have to decide if you think the offenses of both teams are going to be more successful than the defenses. It really is that simple.POINT SPREAD Texas A&M -4.5 The Aggies grabbed everyone’s attention with their 41-38 win over Alabama. They have followed up that great win, with a 21-point win at Missouri, and a 44-14 thumping of South Carolina. They are coming off of a bye week and should be well-rested and healthy, plus it is really hard to beat them in College Station. Auburn isn’t flashy and have been playing somewhat under the radar. They won a close one at LSU, (when the Tigers still cared), played decent in a loss to Georgia, went to Fayetteville and handled Arkansas 38-23, and beat one-loss Mississippi 31-20 last week. They also get a break with this game being a 1pm kick-off instead of a night game.DUDES WHO BET SPORTS PICK: Auburn +4.5
