Man, I am pumped up for Keeneland’s return this weekend! All three cards are absolutely loaded with big, competitive fields! I’ve got full card coverage today for Keeneland and a grid-only day from Belmont. One of the bets that I am most excited about is the new All-Turf Pick 3 from Keeneland which has a $3 base and a low takeout, 15%. On the takeout note, the best three bets at Keeneland are now the Turf Pick 3, the Pick 5’s and the $1 Pick 6.

Race 2 – $84k MSW – 1 Mile Turf

Let’s kick this ticket off on the rail with 2nd time started #1 Steinbeck who faced Jack Christopher last time and moves to the surface that I think the horse will prefer. #8 Minnesota Ready is bred to love the turf, More Then Ready / Mizzen Mast mare, was training well over the synthetic and then blows it out in the one Keeneland workout. I’ll go 3 deep here and include #9 Rum ‘n Tonic who should take a step forward for Mike Maker who is awful with 1st time starters at Kentucky Downs, but very good with Three Diamond runners at Keeneland.

Race 7 – $90k N3X – 1 1/16M Turf

The #4 Kentucky Ghost is going to be the favorite, but I’m going to take a stand against. I’ll single up the #7 Cavalry Charge who should absolutely trip out behind the pace and get first run. He’s immensely improved as four year old and has every right to take another step forward here for Dallas Stewart.

Race 10 – $86k N1X – 1 1/18M Turf

Let’s start with the speed here and use #2 Modern Science who draws inside of the rest of the speed and should either get an easy lead into the first turn or sit right behind one of the two longshots with speed if either chooses to gun it out of the gate. I like #5 Frenchboro at a price here. He took a huge step forward 2nd time out and will need to jump forward again, but bringing him back protected shows confidence and his first effort isn’t as bad as it looks since no one was winning at Saratoga going 3-4 wide on both turns. I’ll close out the ticket with #9 Red Hornet who drops into non-stakes company for the first time since breaking his maiden.
