2019 Rebel Stakes Picks and Wagering Guide from Oaklawn Park

A split of the Rebel Stakes (G2) gives Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert the opportunity of adding to his already record six Rebel wins at Oaklawn when he sends out unbeaten champion Game Winner and unbeaten Grade 1 winner Improbable in Saturday’s 1 1/16-mile event.

“They’re going be tough, those preps,” Baffert said. “It will be tough to win one. We’ll see what happens.”

The two Rebels highlight a tremendous 11-race card that also features the return of Elate in the Azeri Stakes (G3), as well as the Essex Handicap for older males.
