Ultima D Wires Field in $350,000 Exacta Systems

FRANKLIN, KY – For the People’s Ultima D finally found the winner’s circle on Wednesday, wiring a dozen foes in the $350,000 Exacta Systems Juvenile Fillies Stakes at Kentucky Downs.

Breaking sharply from post 9 under regular rider Julio Garcia, Ultima D set a moderate pace while the field stayed packed tightly behind her. Rounding off the far turn, Garcia let her loose and she was able to hold off a late charge from Best Performance to cross the wire first for trainer Wesley Ward.
