Here we go:1. Kelby/Evil Steveil (3/1) Fierceness – The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) winner totally flopped in the Holy Bull Stakes (G3). Catching Freedom – He was a solid third in the Risen Star Stakes (G2). Hall of Fame – There is no doubt he was a major disappointment in the Risen Star Stakes (G2). Snead – This horse was a solid second last time out in the Gun Runner Stakes at Fair Grounds; however, he’s having trouble staying on the work tab. Just Steel – He finally showed up with a poor effort in the Rebel Stakes (G2). 2. Dan Waite and Michael Ossen (7/2) Sierra Leone – He picked up the first major points of the season with a nice win in the Risen Star Stakes (G2). Book’em Danno – He ran huge in the Saudi Derby to finish second behind Forever Young. Rhyme Schemes – The Saratoga Special Stakes (G2) winner has been on the sidelines with an injury since that August race. Rocketeer – He finally had his first workout of the season on 2/18. Maymun – He dazzled in an impressive allowance win at Santa Anita Park. 3. Double Ds (Doc Tang and Doc Miranda) (4/1) Nysos – This horse is a beast as he romped in the Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3). The Wine Steward – The Breeders’ Futurity (G1) runner-up finally posted his first workout of the season on 2/17. Carbone – He was better in the Rebel Stakes (G2) but still wasn’t good enough to hit the board. Moonlight – He was nowhere to be found in the Risen Star Stakes (G2). Amante Bianco – He could do no better than second in a recent race in Japan. 4. Actual Double Ds (Paul “Free Bears” Withrow) (5/1) Knightsbridge – This solid debut winner at Churchill Downs is back on the work tab. Track Phantom – He was good once again but just couldn’t quite get the job done in the Risen Star Stakes (G2). Forever Young – He showed heart in the Saudi Derby with a narrow victory. Eagles Flight – The half-brother of Flightline had his first work of the year on January 31. Otello – He was a total no-show in the Holy Bull Stakes (G3). 5. Geist (6/1) Muth – The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) runner-up kicked off his 2024 season winning the San Vicente Stakes (G2). Air of Defiance – This horse was a solid maiden winner but has not worked since November 3. Stronghold – This horse picked up a huge win for this team in the Sunland Derby (G3). Dimatic – The newest member of this team didn’t make an impact in the Rebel Stakes (G2). Mystik Dan – He was a runaway winner of the Southwest Stakes (G3). 6 Jared Welch (8/1)Conquest Warrior – The newest member of the team broke his maiden last time out at Gulfstream Park. We’ll see him this Friday in an allowance race. Coach Prime – He was a disappointing third last time out in the Los Alamitos Futurity (G2). Timberlake – His 3-year-old debut was solid with an easy win in the Rebel Stakes (G2). Imagination – He nearly pulled off a nice upset over Maymun in a recent allowance race at Santa Anita Park. Noted – He didn’t fire at all in a turf stakes race at Gulfstream Park. 7. Shotty and Davey (12/1) Locked – He spiked a fever and missed the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3). He’s now pointed towards the Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) this weekend. Liberal Arts – He was a decent third in the Southwest Stakes (G3). Otto the Conqueror – He, on the other hand, was nowhere to be found after halfway through the Southwest Stakes (G3). Imperial Gun – He was not good at all in a recent allowance race at Oaklawn Park. Real Men Violin – He did very little running in the Risen Star Stakes (G2). 8. Vinny Blond (15/1)Dornoch – The full brother of Kentucky Derby winner Mage looked solid in a gritty Remsen Stakes (G2) victory and will make his 2024 debut this weekend in the Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2). Pilot Commander – This solid debut winner was a distant second in the San Vicente Stakes (G2). Just a Touch – This impressive maiden special weight winner at Fair Grounds is probable for the Gotham Stakes (G3). Scatify – He was a distant third in the Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3). Agate Road – The newest member of this team was a decent second in the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3). 9. The Magic Mike Show (30/1) Parchment Party – He’s out until at least the spring with a minor issue. Honor Marie – He could only finish 5th in the Risen Star Stakes (G2). Change of Command – He was in a good spot but had nothing when turning for home in the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3). Ethan Energy – The team’s newest member sucked in the Lecomte Stakes (G3). He will run in an allowance race at Oaklawn Park this weekend. First World War – He picked up 5 valuable points with a win at Gulfstream Park – on turf. 10. Jon White and Ryan Stillman (30/1) Nash – He was a fairly disappointing second again in a recent allowance race. Tuscan Sky – He was an impressive winner in an allowance race at Fair Grounds to make it 2 in a row. Hades – The newest member on the team was an upset winner of the Holy Bull Stakes (G3). Victory Avenue – He was a solid second on debut at Gulfstream Park. We will see him this weekend in the Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2). Born Noble – This horse looked like he was ready to romp but lost the lead late in a recent allowance race. 11. Aaron Halterman (50/1) Speak Easy – The newest member of the team was an impressive debut winner at Gulfstream Park. We’ll see him again in either Saturday’s Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) or a Friday allowance race. Merit – He’ll try again this weekend in either a Friday allowance race or Saturday’s Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2). Informed Patriot – The newest member of the team sucked a fat one in the Sunland Derby (G3). Wynstock – Not sure if he’s even finished the Southwest Stakes (G3) yet. Who Dey – Hey, he finally worked out! He’s preparing to make his 2024 debut at Turfway Park.
