News Treve Looks to Make History in Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe October 3, 2015 News Treve Looks to Make History in Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe October 3, 2015 By: Jared Welch twitterfacebooklinkedinemail Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article On Sunday, Treve goes for three-peat in France’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, one of the world’s most famous races. Treve will be the heavy favorite when 18 horses go to the post Sunday at Longchamp. Post time for the Arc is set at 9:55 a.m. EST. With a purse of about $5.6 million, the Arc is one of the richest grass races in the world. What makes the field even more interesting is Flintshire, who was second in the 2014 Arc (to Treve). As most US race fans remember, Flintshire finished second to Main Sequence in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Turf and recently winner of the Sword Dancer at Saratoga this summer. And as it stands today, he looks to be a heavy favorite to win the Breeders’ Cup Turf later this month. For more information, visit the official 2015 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe website.
