9. This could be the best horse Rick Porter has ever had

Rick Porter is an owner I have always respected, and believe he is as classy as they come.  He has spotted his horses aggressively when need be, and yes at times it hasn’t worked out but also it has worked out with examples like Havre De Grace.  As good as Havre De Grace was this horse could be better.  It would be a shame to see him pass up his best chance to win a Kentucky Derby.  He has made statements about not needing to win it just for the sake of his ego.  I understand what he is saying, but for his fans (like me) it would be more about him getting what he deserves: winning America’s biggest race.
