5. Her running style will keep her out of traffic trouble in the Kentucky Derby

The fear no matter what horse you run in the Kentucky Derby is traffic trouble or tough trips.  With 20 horses entered in the race almost anything can happen once the gates open.  However, Songbird’s running style would most likely take care of that problem.  Her style is similar to last years winner American Pharoah.  She would be on or near the lead the entire race as long as she broke out of the gate well.  This would make her much less likely to have a poor trip.
