Lewis III. ( Content Continues Below Ad ) In the Smart Halo, the Maryland-bred Street Lute proved good on her 3/2 favoritism in the field of eight, easily dispatching of Donnybrook Girl early before drawing off for a 2 3/4-length score under Xavier Perez. The Street Magician filly, purchased by owner Lucky 7 Stables for just $10,500 as a yearling, has now won 3 of 4 starts including the Small Wonder Stakes at Delaware Park in September. The John Robb trainee has bankrolled $170,220 to date. Out of Sorts took second by 1 length over Be Sneaky, herself a 1/2-length in front of Prodigy Doll, the 9/5 second choice. Swirling Dancer, Docs Seven, Donnybrook Girl, and Supreme Blessing completed the order of finish. Street Lute returned $5 to win, $3 to place, and $2.40 to show. Out of Sorts brought back $3.60 to place and $2.60 to show, while Be Sneaky paid $3.40 to show. In the James F. Lewis, No Cents fought his way to the lead at the 1/8 pole and drew off late to win by 1 1/4 lengths over the 3/1 favorite Dalton, who tracked early leader and eventual third-place finisher Lugamo. Owned and bred by Isabelle de Tomaso and Hope Jones, the New Jersey-bred Goldencents colt has now won 3 straight since finishing second on debut while earning $149,000. Trevor McCarthy, aboard the Cathal Lynch trainee, has now won the race 3 years running. Texas Basin, Heir Port, Kenny Had A Notion, Singlino, and Fearless Fly completed the order of finish. Ain’t Da Beer Cold and Xtreme Mayhem were scratched. No Cents returned $10.80 to win, $5 to place, and $3.40 to show. Dalton brought back $4.60 to place and $3.20 to show, while Lugamo paid $3.40 to show.
