( Content Continues Below Ad ) In the Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship, Street Lute made a strong move off the far turn and drew off to easily win as the 2/1 favorite. Xavier Perez was aboard the Jerry Robb trainee. Jurror Number Four, Maxine’s Tap Room, Buckey’s Charm, Targe, early pacesetter Liam’s Missy, Miss Nondescript, Heartful, and Trip to Freedom completed the order of finish. A daughter of Street Magician purchased for $10,500 as a yearling, Street Lute improved her record to 5-4-1-0 with $230,220 earned. She padded a resume that already reflected stakes victories in the Small Wonder at Delaware Park and the local Smart Halo. Street Lute returned $6 to win, $3.40 to place, and $2.40 to show. Juror Number Four brought back $4.60 to place and $3 to show, while Maxine’s Tap Room paid $2.80 to show. Jaxon Traveler (Credit: Maryland Jockey Club) A race later in the Maryland Juvenile Futurity, Jaxon Traveler showed why he was bet down to 1/5 favoritism off a rare sub-even money morning line (4/5) as he easily defeated his fellow males. Johan Rosado was aboard the Steve Asmussen trainee, who broke his maiden on debut at Pimlico before defeating optional claimers over this course last time out. Singlino, Latin Spice, Ain’t Da Beer Cold, Alwaysinahurry, Doubleoseven, and Hunter Joe completed the order of finish. Purchased for $140,000 this past April, the Munnings colt has now earned $120,762 and may point to another local 7-furlong stakes for his next try. Jaxon Traveler returned $2.60 to win, $2.20 to place, and $2.10 to show. Place brought back to place and to show, while Show paid to show.
